Comprehensive Nutritional Evaluations

What Is a Comprehensive Nutritional Evaluation?

A Comprehensive Nutritional Evaluation is a detailed assessment of your current dietary habits, lifestyle, and health history. It includes a review of your eating patterns, nutrient intake, and any health concerns that may be influenced by nutrition. Based on your individual needs, we provide specific recommendations on how to improve your nutrition through food, supplementation, and lifestyle changes. This holistic approach supports your chiropractic care by addressing the foundational aspects of your health—ensuring your body has the nutrients it needs to heal and thrive.

How It Works

During your nutritional evaluation, you’ll meet with Dr Bender, a diplomate in Nutrition, who will conduct a thorough review of your current health status, eating habits, and any symptoms or health challenges you're facing. She may use a variety of tools, including dietary questionnaires, lab tests, and body composition analysis, to gain insight into your nutritional needs. Based on these findings, she will develop a personalized nutrition plan that addresses any deficiencies, helps manage your weight, balances blood sugar levels, and supports your overall health goals. Dr. Bender will guide you through practical steps to improve your diet, recommend specific supplements if needed, and provide ongoing support to ensure you succeed.

Why Should Someone Get a Comprehensive Nutritional Evaluation?

  • Address Nutrient Deficiencies: Identify and correct nutrient imbalances that may be contributing to fatigue, poor digestion, joint pain, or other health issues.
  • Support Your Healing Process: Proper nutrition enhances the effectiveness of chiropractic care by promoting better circulation, reducing inflammation, and supporting cellular repair.
  • Weight Management & Energy Boost: Develop a diet plan that helps with weight management and boosts energy levels for improved daily performance.
  • Chronic Condition Management: Nutrition can help manage chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and arthritis by addressing the root causes through dietary changes.

Dr. Bender - Your Diplomate for Nutrition Evaluations

What is a Diplomate?
The Chiropractic Doctor who is Board Certified in Nutrition has the highest academic degree in the profession in the field of nutrition therapeutics. These Doctors are experts in the clinical understanding of nutrition. The degree is identified by the initials DACBN, Diplomate American Chiropractic Board of Nutrition. It must be emphasized that this is an academic degree and not simply a certification or registration for courses taken in nutrition.

A Doctor who wishes to become a Diplomate in Nutrition must undergo 300-hours of postgraduate course study in the areas of biochemistry and physiology of nutrition, diagnostic evaluation in clinical nutrition, nutrition in infancy, adolescence, pregnancy and lactation, and geriatrics. Other required portions of the syllabus include, but are not limited to, nutritional aspects of the body such as the oral cavity, GI tract, and musculoskeletal system. Still other course modules include stress management, diet, nutrient-to-nutrient and drug-to-nutrient interactions, herbs, botanicals, homeopathy, and longevity.

Dr. Bender also has been certified by the International & American Associations of Clinical Nutritionist which she earned her CCN, Certified Clinical Nutritionist.
